While I am a singular in my existence, I feel that I am one if even I am in among the thousands. Sometimes, it happens with individual who are really alone, a feeling that " I am in a lonely planet." There may be thousands of psychological explanations, I should not go for that extend.

A personal feeling of oneself is very important while he intend to express it among the others.

Why should one think he is the important one among the others?
Does it come from once inferiority/superiority complex?

When there are some social activities, family get together, business symposiums, sports committees and promotional campaign. Out of ten players, one plays as an extra. He things, the extra made him less importance for this event.

When a committee is formed, one goes away from the counts, he feels he the abandoned.

While family keeps one away from their so called get together, the one should have an insight elimination.
